PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />A. PUBLIC HEARING & FIRST READING OF ORDINANCE 05- I 169 - LP A 05-07 - <br />FUTURE LAND USE MAP AMENDMENT <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 05- I 169 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO AMEND THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY AMENDING THE OFFICIAL <br />FUTURE LAND USE MAP, ESTABLISHING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP <br />DESIGNATIONS FOR THOSE SPECIFIC PARCELS AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF <br />THIS ORDINANCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE "WESTSIDE SMALL AREA <br />STUDY CONCEPTUAL PLAN;" PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, <br />AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Legal Advertising: The notice of public hearing relative to Ordinance 05-1169 was published in the Orlando <br />Sentinel on July 24,2005. <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mr. Wells stated Ordinance 05-1169 provides for administrative amendment of the <br />Future Land Use Map designations of properties as identified by the Westside Small Area Study Conceptual <br />Plan, which was approved by the City Commission on January 10,2005. There are 77 separate parcels <br />totaling 34.72 acres subject to Ordinance 05-1169. The proposed Future Land Use Map designations will <br />correspond to existing or proposed zoning classifications contained in Ordinance 05-11 70. The amendment <br />is being processed as a large scale map amendment in accordance with Florida Statutes. The Planning & <br />Zoning Commission recommended approval of Ordinance 05-1169 at their July 13, 2005 meeting. Staff <br />recommended approval of Ordinance 05-1169 and transmittal to the Florida Department of Community <br />Affairs for review and approval. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Two (2) audience comment request forms were received for Ordinance 05- 1169. <br /> <br />I) Donald Sabin, 3 10 Concord Drive, spoke in opposition to Ordinance 05-1169. <br /> <br />2) Cynthia Barnes, 224 Lake Ellen Drive, spoke in opposition to Ordinance 05-1169. <br /> <br />3) Ed Matthieu, 405 Misty Oaks Run, did not comment on Ordinance 05-1 169 but requested that he <br />be added to the Citizen Courtesy Information List for Ordinance 05-1169. <br /> <br />No one else came forward. Mayor Goff closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Commission Discussion: Commissioner Cook stated she understood the need to change the Future Land Use <br />Map designations along Oleander Way but disagreed with the designation changes of existing single family <br />
