Additional Considerations <br />1. Department heads are responsible to ensure that all employees using <br />cellular telephones are familiar with this policy. <br />2. Department heads must annually review current cell phone users and <br />determine if the need still exists for employee usage, and if the existing <br />calling plan still meets the users' needs. <br />3. Limited and reasonable use of a cellular phone for occasional employee <br />personal use that does not result in any additional costs to the City is <br />permitted. Department heads must require reimbursement from <br />employees for personal cellular use that results in additional cost to the <br />City. <br />4. Improper use of the cellular phone may result in disciplinary action. <br />5. City employees are discouraged from using a cellular phone while <br />operating a motor vehicle in the conduct of City business, except to call <br />911 in emergency situations. <br /> <br />3/3/03 <br />
