<br />· . <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />July 10. 2005 <br /> <br />Jeff Dreier <br />City of Casselberry <br />95 Triplet Lake Drive <br />Casselberry, FL 32707 <br /> <br />This letter sets forth our understanding of the terms and objectives of our engagement and <br />the nature and scope of the services June Lorah ("Contractor") will provide to the City of <br />Casselberry ("City"). <br /> <br />Contractor will prepare the financial statements, required supplemental schedules, and <br />notes section to be included in the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the City <br />of Casselberry as of and for the year ended September 30, 2005, in accordance with <br />generally accepted accounting principles and the standards for financial statements <br />provided by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, trom audited financial data <br />provided by the City's staff. Contractor will assist in the preparation of the Statistical <br />Section and Management's Discussion and Analysis, and will assist in compilation of the <br />entire document into a continuous pdf file. In addition, Contractor will perform a <br />technical review of the entire Comprehensive Annual Financial Report prior to <br />submission for the Government Finance Officers' Association's Certificate of <br />Achievement Program. <br /> <br />The fee for this engagement is based on the hourly rate of $45 and the estimate of 80 - <br />100 hours, not to exceed $4,500 for the fiscal year indicated above. This fee assumes that <br />no unusual or unknown circumstances arise, and that I receive the agreed-upon assistance <br />trom the City's staff. Contractor's policy is to render one final billing at the completion of <br />the engagement. Invoices are due upon receipt. <br /> <br />Both Contractor and the City agree that the relationship created by this agreement is that <br />of independent contractor and not that of employee and employer. Contractor is <br />responsible for the payment of all taxes, including, without limitation, all Federal, State <br />and local personal and business income taxes, sales and use taxes, other business taxes <br />and license fees arising out of the activities of Contractor. <br /> <br />The City may trom time to time request additional services outside the scope of this <br />engagement to include audit preparation assistance or consulting for special <br />accounting/finance-related projects. Additional services will be billed separate trom this <br />billing and will be provided at the standard hourly rate as set forth above. <br />
