<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of June 27, 2005 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 15 of 16 <br /> <br />· Reported at the last Joint City/County Advisory Committee meeting, items discussed included a <br />possible library system referendum, funding for the Winter Springs Senior Center expansion. <br />Voiced concerns regarding open communication between the cities and the County on some of <br />these issues, and that its necessary for all entities to receive the same information and have input <br />on these items. Further noted that she asked Hank Lander if he had an interest in serving as the <br />Casselberry Chamber of Commerce representative to the Joint Committee. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kathy Cook - Seat #2: <br />· No Report. <br /> <br />Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford - Seat #4: <br />· No Report. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Linda C. Hart - Seat #3: <br />· Requested to change the date for the City Manager Candidates reception and interviews, since she <br />is not available September 2 - 3, 2005 due to her work. Commission consensus was to move <br />the reception and interviews to September 9 - 10, 2005. <br /> <br />Mayor Bob Goff - Seat #5: <br />· Clarified that the Casselberry Chamber of Commerce representative to the Joint City/County <br />Advisory Committee must be ratified by that committee, and the process does not involve or <br />require recommendation by the City Commission. Further clarified the library referendum issue <br />was brought forth at the Joint Committee because it has not been moving forward at the County <br />Commission level. <br />· Reported the Mayors/Managers group is currently looking at the regional transportation issue <br />again, and requested that the Police Chiefs get together with the Sheriff to come up with a <br />countywide resolution to regulating how close sex offenders can live to where children normally <br />congregate. <br />· Apologized to the Casselberry Veteran's Club for not attending their Installation of Officers <br />ceremony held June 25, 2005, noting he had a family emergency that came up at the last minute. <br />· Reported he has appointed the following individuals to the Mayor's Committee to assess property <br />values: Paul Roper, Bob Lerner, Michael Kramer, Harley Parkhurst, and Ben Tucker. Reiterated <br />that the committee is strictly a fact fmding and information gathering only group. <br /> <br />XII. STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />Tony Segreto - Interim City Manager: <br />· Noted the County Manager apologized for the failure of the paratransit tax issue. Further noted <br />that Mr. Grace did believe that the issue had broad base support, and that he informed the County <br />Commission that the cities would not continue to fund it next year. <br /> <br />Catherine Reischmann - City Attorney: <br />· No report. <br />
