<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of June 27, 2005 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 14 of16 <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Hart moved to table Resolution 05-1594 and schedule a <br />workshop to discuss the status ofthe goals and objectives of tbe current <br />strategic plan. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Doerner. Motion <br />carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />L. DISCUSSION ON ESTABLISHING A POLICY TO PURCHASE AND SELL REAL <br />ESTATE <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mrs. Reischmann and Mr. Segreto recommended the City Commission move <br />forward to establish a real estate purchasing policy, similar to policies adopted by the City of Oviedo and <br />Altamonte Springs. Establishment of a policy will ensure that there is uniformity in the way these matters <br />are handled by staff and in turn give some legal protection for the City. Commission consensus was to <br />direct the City Attorney to draft a real estate purchasing policy to be considered by the City Commission. <br /> <br />Audience: One (I) audience comment request form was received for this item. The following individual <br />came forward: <br /> <br />I) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, voiced concerns regarding the appraisal for the <br />parcel across the street from City Hall because it was based on the entire acreage and not the <br />proposed subdivided lots. <br /> <br />M. BOARD APPOINTMENTS - LAKES MANAGEMENT ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br />There were two (2) remaining vacancies on the Lakes Management Advisory Board; one appointment <br />would be for a one year term and the other appointment would be for a two year term. Commissioner <br />Hufford nominated David Manor for the two year term. No other nominations were made. <br /> <br />Commission consensus was to appoint David Manor to the Lakes Management Advisory Board, <br />term effective to January 2007. <br /> <br />Commissioner Doerner nominated Roy Winegar for the one year term. No other nominations were made. <br /> <br />Commission consensus was to appoint Roy Winegar to the Lakes Management Advisory Board, <br />term effective to January 2006. <br /> <br />X. CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> <br />This item was maved up on the agenda as item VII, pursuant to action reflected on page 2 of these <br />minutes. <br /> <br />XI. COMMISSION REPORTSIREQUESTS <br /> <br />Commissioner Susan Doerner - Seat #1: <br />. Noted a resident recently voiced concerns to her regarding the maintenance of Secret Lake Park <br />and she encouraged him to email his comments to the City. <br />
