<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of May 9, 2005 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 11 of 12 <br /> <br />Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford - Seat #4: <br /> <br />Voiced concerns regarding a recent Orlando Sentinel article and the Mayor's comments concerning <br />consolidation of City and County fire services at a recent County Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Linda C. Hart - Seat #3: <br /> <br />Reported a presentation by MGT of America was made at the last CALNO meeting regarding <br />finding solutions relating to code enforcement and creating effective strategic planning in the public <br />sector. Suggested having MGT of America make a presentation to the City Commission at an <br />upcoming meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Bob Goff - Seat #5: <br /> <br />Noted he attended the grand opening of Plum os a Oaks Park on April 30th and commended the Parks <br />& Recreation Department for their hard work on the event. <br />· Noted he attended the Employee Appreciation Luncheon on May 5th and commended the caterer of <br />the event. <br />· Clarified his comments at the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting regarding accessory <br />structures were made prior to the matter coming to the City Commission and elaborated on <br />comments made by members of the Planning & Zoning Commission at that meeting. <br />Clarified his comments made at a recent County Commission meeting, at which he introduced <br />himself as a Commissioner and he gave a suggestion. Stated the video of that County Commission <br />meeting is available on the Seminole County website. Further stated he was representing himself <br />and would not make any apology for making suggestions that may well be in the benefit ofthe City <br />in the future. <br /> <br />XII. STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />Tony Segreto - Acting City Manager: <br /> <br />Reported a very productive meeting was held with the St. Johns River Water Management District last week <br />regarding several projects the City is currently working on including the realignment of Plum os a Avenue <br />intersection and the Winter Park Drive realignment. <br /> <br />Catherine Reischmann - City Attorney: <br /> <br />· Made the following clarifications to the issue of City Commissioners attending advisory board <br />meetings: (1) the Sunshine law issue has been resolved with the placement of a notice that one or <br />more Commissioners may be in attendance on the various advisory board agendas; and (2) Due <br />process would become a concern if the matter was a quasi-judicial matter, and an issue of pre judice <br />could possibly be raised. Further clarified that the accessory structure issue was a legislative matter. <br />Noted that during the City Manager selection process, if the resumes are reviewed by more than one <br />person, than it has to be a public meeting. <br />
