RESOLUTION 05-1577 -ADDITIONAL ONE CENT LOCAL OPTION FUEL TAX FOR <br />TRANSIT SERVICES FUNDING <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 05-1577 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, SUPPORTING AN ACTION BY THE SEMINOLE COUNTY BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO LEVY AN ADDmONAL ONE CENT LOCAL <br />OPTION GAS TAX FOR THE DEDICATED PURPOSE OF FUNDING TRANSIT <br />SERVICES WITHIN SEMINOLE COUNTY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mr. Clifton stated the County Manager has requested a resolution endorsing the <br />proposed additional one cent fuel tax for all transit related services. This additional tax would eliminate the <br />City's share of para transit costs. Staff recommended approval of Resolution 05-1577. <br /> <br />Audience Participation: One (1) audience comment request form was received for Resolution 05-1577. <br />The following individual came forward: <br /> <br />I) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, spoke in opposition to Resolution 05-1577. <br />
