<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of March 14, 200S - Regular Meeting <br />Page 8 of 19 <br /> <br />Legal Advertising: The notice of public hearing relative to Ordinance 05-1153 was published in the Orlando <br />Sentinel on February 27,2005. <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mr. Wells stated Ordinance 05-1153 provides for an administrative change of the <br />Future Land Use designations for the subject properties from Commercial General to High Intensity Non- <br />ResidentialIMedium Density Residential. The City Center site consists of 8 contiguous parcels currently <br />owned by the City of Casselberry. A conceptual redevelopment proposal by Unicorp includes commercial, <br />civic and residential uses which would require rezoning and future land use map changes to accommodate <br />the residential component. The subject property is required to be processed as a Large Scale Map <br />amendment according to Florida Statutes. The Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval of <br />Ordinance 05-1153 at its February 9, 2005 meeting by a 7 - 0 vote. Staff recommended approval of <br />Ordinance 05-1153 as presented. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: One (1) audience comment request form was received for Ordinance 05-1153. The <br />following individual came forward: <br /> <br />I) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, spoke in opposition to Ordinance 05-1153. <br /> <br />No one else came forward. Mayor Goff closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Doerner moved to approve Ordinance <br />05-1153 on first reading as presented. Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Hufford. Motion carried <br />unauimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />Next Public Hearing Date: Ordinance 05-1153 will transmitted to the Florida Department of Community <br />Affairs for review and approval. A second reading and public hearing will then be required for final approval <br />and adoption. <br /> <br />D. PUBLIC HEARING & FIRST READING OF ORDINANCE 05-1154 - REZONING <br />AMENDMENT ZB 05-01 - SOUTHEASTERN CORNER OF U.S. HIGHWAY 17- <br />92 AND TRIPLET LAKE DRIVE <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 05-1154 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AS ESTABLISHED IN ARTICLE <br />IV, SECTION 2-4.3, UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED; <br />ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF PMX-H (pLANNED MIXED <br />USE: mGH INTENSITY) FOR THOSE PARCELS DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS <br />ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION AND <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />
