Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Hufford. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />X. CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> <br />One (I) audience comment request form was turned in for Citizen Comments. The following individual <br />came forward: . <br /> <br />I) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, stated he did not think the City should <br />demolish the old ftre station adjacent to City Hall because the space could be used to store <br />surplus or back up fIre equipment. Mr. Casselberry suggested the City utilize bulk mailing <br />options more often. Mr. Casselberry voiced concerns regarding current practices for <br />receiving citizen comments and decorum at City Commission meetings. <br /> <br />XI. COMMISSION REPORTSIREQUESTS <br /> <br />Commissioner Susan Doerner - Seat #1: <br /> <br />Requested a status report regarding recent arrests made at Cabaret. Mrs. Reischmann stated the State <br />Attorneys have just been assigned to the case and the arraignments have been set for the end of the <br />month. Mrs. Reischmann stated she will continue to monitor the matter. <br />· Voiced concerns regarding City Commission Members attending various advisory board meetings <br />and inquired if the City is required to post a notice if more than one City Commissioner attends one <br />ofthe advisory board meetings. Mrs. Reischmann stated it would be a good idea to notice the public <br />that City Commissioners may be in attendance at the advisory board meetings to avoid any potential <br />Sunshine violations, noting the City of Winter Springs has such a stated on all of its advisory board <br />agendas. Mrs. Reischmann further stated that Commission Member attendance at certain advisory <br />board meetings brings up some due process issues on quasi-judicial proceedings. Mrs. Reischmann <br />stated some cities have addressed both issues by appointing a Commissioner as a forrnalliaison on <br />a rotating basis to each advisory board. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kathy Cook - Seat #2: <br /> <br />· No report. <br /> <br />Commissioner Colleen Hufford - Seat #4; <br /> <br />· Reported she recently attended a leadership conference at which author, John Maxwell, was a <br />speaker and found it to be an excellent seminar. <br />
