CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of March 14, 1005 ,. Regular Meeting Page 11 of 19 Staff Presentation: Mr. Wells stated Ordinance 05-1156 provides for an administrative amendment to the Future Land Use Map by establishing the Community Redevelopment District Overlay for the Casselberry Community Redevelopment District to correspond to the CRD-UDS zoning classification. This amendment is required to be processed as a Large Scale map amendment according to Florida Statutes. The Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval of Ordinance 05-1156 at its February 9,2005 meeting by a vote of7 - O. Staff recommended approval of Ordinance 05-1156 on first reading. Public Hearing: One (I) audience comment request form was received for Ordinance 05-1156. The following individual came forward: I) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, spoke in opposition to Ordinance 05-l156. No one else came forward. Mayor Goff closed the public hearing. MOTION: Commissioner Doerner moved to approve Ordinance 05-1156 on first reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Hart. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. Next Public Hearing Date: Ordinance 05-1156 will transniltted to the Florida Department of Community Affairs for review and approval. A second reading and public hearing will then be required for final approval and adoption. G. PUBLICHEARlNG&FIRSTREADINGOFORDINANCE05-1158 -LPA05-04- DEFINING CANOPIES AND TENT-LIKE STRUCTURES The City Clerk read Ordinance 05-1158 by title as follows: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 2-7.9,ACCESSORY STRUCTURES TO ADD THE WORD "CANOPY," AND AMENDING SECTION 5-21.2, DEFINITION OF TERMS, OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES, PART III, UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, TO DEFINE THE TERMS "CANOPIES" AND "TENT-LIKE STRUCTURES"; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Legal Advertising: The notice of public hearing relative to Ordinance 05-1158 was published in the Orlando Sentinel on March 3,2005. Staff Presentation: Mr. Wells stated Ordinance 05-1158 provides for adding the term "canopy" to the types of structures that will not be used as a permanent accessory structure. Ordinance 05-1158 also adds the definitions of "canopy" and "tent-lie structure" to the glossary. The Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval of Ordinance 05-1158 at its February 23, 2005 meeting by a vote of 5 - I. Staff recommended approval of Ordinance 05-ll58 on fIrst reading.
