RESOLUTION 05-1562 - CONTRACT TO PURCHASE THE GOODMAN <br />PROPERTY ON WILSHIRE BOULEVARD - REPLACEMENT SITE FOR RED <br />BUG LAKE ROAD FIRE STATION 25 & RELATED BUDGET TRANSFER <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 05-1562 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH MICHAEL A. GOODMAN FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF PARCELS NO. 20-21-30-30-300-0AIC-0000 AND NO. 20-21-30-300- <br />OAIH-OOOO LOCATED ON WILSHIRE BOULEVARD ALSO KNOWN AS THE <br />REPLACEMENT SITE FOR THE RED BUG LAKE ROAD FIRE STATION; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />BTR #05-21: <br /> <br />INCREASE Acct. #301-0310-522.61.30 <br />(Land for Fire Station) <br />INCREASE Acct. #301-0000-389.90 <br />(Fund Balance Carryover) <br /> <br />$50,000.00 <br /> <br />$50,000.00 <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mr. Segreto stated Resolution 05-1562 provides for purchase oftwo parcels located on <br />Wilshire Boulevard to meet the City's future needs to relocate Fire Station 25 in the amount of$650,000.00. <br />Parcel A can be utilized to construct a future fire station and Parcel B can be utilized for off-site stormwater <br />retention and additional parking. Mr. Clifton stated the current location for Fire Station 25 will have access <br />problems when Seminole County constructs the flyover at the State Road 436 and Red Bug Lake Road <br />intersection. Staff recommended approval of Resolution 05-1562 and related Budget Transfer Request #05- <br />21 as presented. <br /> <br />Audience Participation: One (1) audience comment request form was received for Resolution 05-1562 <br />from the following individual: <br /> <br />I) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, spoke in favor of Resolution 05-1562. <br />
