RESOLUTION 05-1558 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, CREATING A LAKES MANAGEMENT ADVISORY BOARD TO ADVISE THE CITY COMMISSION ON SURFACE WATER MANAGEMENT RELATED ISSUES AND POLICIES, WHOSE STRUCTURE AND DUTIES ARE MORE SPECIFICALLY DEFINED AS ATTACHED IN "EXHIBIT A"; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, the City of Casselbeny acknowledges that the many lakes provide a valuable aesthetic and recreational asset to the community; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselbeny wishes to safeguard these valuable resources; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselbeny intends to develop a Lake Management Plan; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselbeny acknowledges that citizen involvement and input is critical to an effective Lakes Management Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Commission and the City staff desire to provide a vehicle for citizen input regarding surface water management issues. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselbeny hereby approves the formation of the Lakes Management Advisory Board ("Exhibit A"). SECTION n. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION In. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoptiou. /tfti PASSED and ADOPTED this ./" day of AD 2005.
