SECOND READING OF ORDINANCE 04-1151 - COMMERCIAL VEHICLE <br />PARKING <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 04-1151 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING PART <br />ill, ARTICLE X, SECTION 3-10.9 OF THE CASSELBERRY CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />ENTITLED "PARKING OF VEHICLES IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS;" <br />ESTABLISHING THE CRITERIA DESIGNATING A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE; <br />CLARIFYING THAT COMMERCIAL VEHICLES OVER 6,000 POUNDS GROSS <br />WEIGHT CANNOT BE PARKED IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS EXCEPT WHEN <br />ACTIVELY ENGAGED IN WORK; CLARIFYING THAT COMMERCIAL VEHICLES <br />UNDER 6,000 POUND GROSS WEIGHT MAY BE PARKED IN RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICTS OVERNIGHT; PROHIBITING PARKING OF ANY COMMERCIAL <br />VEHICLE ON ANY CITY RIGHT-OF-WAY UNLESS ACTIVELY ENGAGED IN <br />WORK; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Legal Advertising: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to Ordinance 04-1151 was published in the <br />Orlando Sentinel on January 13,2005. <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mr. Wells gave a presentation regarding Ordinance 04-1151 as approved on first reading <br />on November 22, 2004 and the requested additional research related to commercial vehicle parking made <br />at that meeting. Pursuant to the additional research, changes proposed by staff were outlined Ms. Smith's <br />January 13, 2005 inter-office memorandum to Mr. Wells and a proposed revised draft ordinance; said inter- <br />office memorandum and revised draft ordinance are attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br />
