<br />City Commission Meeting <br />October 25, 2004 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 04-1534 as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ENTERING <br />INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT <br />AGENCY (FEMA) TO ASSIST FEMA WITH THE PRODUCTION OF A DIGITAL <br />FLOOD MAP IN SUPPORT OF THE NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE <br />PROGRAM; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS. SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE <br />DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mr. Goucher stated that the City was participating with the Federa] Management <br />Agency (FEMA), National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) to provide Flood Zone Determinations based <br />on Flood 1nsurance Rate Maps (FIRM) last revised in 1995. The map modernization will be conducted by <br />FEMA at no direct expense to the City. The City will provide review and critique of the documents in the <br />developmental process and FEMA will manage their contractor in the map modernization process. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: Approve Resolution 04-1534 as presented. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark to approve Resolution 04-1534, <br />FEMA Agreement, as presented. The motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Linda Hart and carried nnanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />6. Resolntion 04-1535 - Contract to Purchase Real Estate (Shell Gas Station) <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner AI Clark to read Resolntion 04-1535 , <br />Shell Station Pnrchase, by title only. The motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 04-1535 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING <br />THE PURCHASE OF THE V ACA TED SHELL GAS STATION PROPERTY FROM <br />FIRST COST ENERGY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mr. Goucher presented the contract from First Coast Energy for the City to secure the <br />old Shell Gas station located on the corner of Triplet Lake Drive and Highway 17-92. The purchase price <br />for the property is $450,000. The City Commission previously approved a contract for the purchase, but the <br />seller revised the contract into his format, necessitating City Commission approval on a new contract. The <br />parcel will make it easier for the City to contìgure a site that can be competitively marketed and developed <br />as a City Center. <br />
