CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of September 27. 2004 ~ Regular Meeting Page 6 of 16 recommended approval of Ordinance 04-1147 on July 28, 2004 by 4 - 2 vote. Ordinance 04-1147 was passed on first reading on August 23, 2004. Staff recommended approval of Ordinance 04-1147 on second and final reading. Public Hearing: Mayor Pronovost asked ifthere was anyone in the audience that wished to speak either for or against Ordinance 04-1147. The following individuals came forward: I) Paul Lovestrand, 1500 Preston Road, Longwood, stated he was speaking on behalf ofthe applicant and requested favorable action on Ordinance 04-1147. 2) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, spoke in favor of Ordinance 04-1147. No one else came forward. Mayor Pronovost closed the public hearing. MOTION: Vice Mayor Clark moved to approve and adopt Ordinance 04-1147 on second and final reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Doerner. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote. Roll Call Vote ofthe City Commission: Commissioner Doerner - Yes; Commissioner Cook - Yes; Commissioner Hart - Yes; Vice Mayor Clark - Yes; Mayor Pronovost - Yes. Motion passed 5 - O. AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION Mayor Pronovost asked if there was anyone in the audience that wished to request participation on any agenda item, or address the Commission on any other matter. The following individual carne forward: I) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, voiced concerns regarding hurricane debris removal and the tentative completion date of October 15, 2004. Mr. Casselberry inquired if the City Commission had received letters he had directed to the body dated August 20, 2004 and September 1,2004. Mr. Casselberry reiterated his concerns regarding the request for proposal process for conceptual plans for development of the property across from City Hall and objected to the City Commission taking fonnal action during the presentations for the subject property earlier in the meeting because of the lack of ability for audience participation. No one else carne forward. Mayor Pronovost closed Audience Participation.
