<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 7, 2004 - Emergency Meeting <br />Psge40fS <br /> <br />BTR #04-88: <br /> <br />Explanation of Request: Use Fund Balance to supplement (increase from $500,000 to $2,000,000) the <br />special General Fund contingency reserve to cover Federal Emergency Management Agency reimbursable <br />costs associated with Hurricane Charley (FEMA - 1539 - DR). <br /> <br />INCREASE Acct. #001-0000-389.90 $1,500,000 <br />(Fund Balance Carryover) <br />INCREASE Acct. #001-0190-519.58.02 $1,500,000 <br />(Contingency Reserve - FEMA Reimbursable Costs - Charley) <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to approve Budget Transfer <br />Request #04-88 as presented. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Doerner. Motion carried unanimously <br />by voice vote. <br /> <br />GENERATOR & BYPASS PUMP NEEDS: <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mr. Segreto recommended approval of replacement and additional generators and bypass <br />pumps, and associated electrical work for an approximate total cost of $558,000, as outlined in Mr. <br />Goucher's September 7, 2004 inter-office memorandum, which is attached to and made a part ofthese <br />minutes. It was noted some ofthe costs will be reimbursed through FEMA. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to approve the emergency <br />purchases and services for generators and bypass <br />pumps as outlined in Mr. Goucher's September 7,2004 <br />inter-office memorandum to Mr. Segreto. Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Doerner. Motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />STAFF COMPENSATION: <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mr. Clifton recommended that salaried employees have the option to be paid for up to <br />40 hours compensatory time for each hurricane, for a total of up to 80 hours. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to authorize the option for <br />payment of up to 40 hours compensatory time for each <br />hurricane for a total of up to 80 hours for salaried <br />employees. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Hart. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />
