<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of June 28, 2004 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 2 of 12 <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 04-1128 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING <br />THE RENAMING OF STATE ROAD 436 FROM THE CITY LIMITS <br />(APPROXIMATELY 620 FEET EAST OF ANCHOR ROAD) TOU.S. HIGHWAY 17-92, <br />CHANGING THE NAME FROM SEMORAN BOULEVARD TO EAST ALT AMONTE <br />DRIVE; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Legal Advertisement: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to the first reading and public hearing of <br />Ordinance 04-1128 was sent to all affected property owners via certified mail, return receipt requested, in <br />accordance with City Code. <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Chief Pavlis stated Ordinance 04-1128 provides for renaming a segment of State Road <br />436 from the city limits east of Anchor Road to U.S. Highway 17-92 from Semoran Boulevard to East <br />Altamonte Drive. Staff recommended approval of Ordinance 04-1128 on first reading. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Pronovost asked ifthere was anyone in the audience that wished to speak either for <br />or against Ordinance 04-1128. The following individual came forward: <br /> <br />1) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, spoke in opposition to Ordinance 04-1128. <br /> <br />No one else came forward. Mayor Pronovost closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to approve Ordinance 04- <br />1128 on first reading as presented. Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Doerner. Motion carried <br />unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote ofthe City Commission: <br /> <br />Commissioner Doerner - Yes; Commissioner Cook - Yes; Commissioner Hart - Yes; Vice Mayor <br />Clark - Yes; Mayor Pronovost - Yes. Motion passed 5 - O. <br /> <br />Public Hearing Date: The second and final public hearing for Ordinance 04-1128 is scheduled for Monday, <br />July 26, 2004. <br /> <br />II. SECOND READING OF ORDINANCE 04-1132 - ANNEXATION OF <br />WILSON/CONCORD PROPERTY <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to read Ordinance 04-1132 <br />by title only. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Hart. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />
