City Commission Meeting <br />August 1 I, 2003 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner A! Clark that Ordinance 03-1092, <br />Building Code Revisions, be approved as presented. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried on a 4 - 0 roll call vote. <br /> <br />Mayor Pronovost requested that Item #6 be continued until August 25, 2003 so that Commissioner Linda <br />Hart could be present for the discussion. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Susan Doerner that Item #6 be continued to the <br />August 25, 2003 Commission Meeting. Motion was seconded by Vice <br />Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark and carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />Mayor Bruce Pronovost stated that the petitioners for Item #3, Wal-Mart, requested this item be continued <br />until August 25, 2003. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Susan Doerner that Item #3, Wal-Mart Expansion, <br />be continued to the August 25, 2003 Commission Meeting. Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Kathy Cook and carried unanimously by voice <br />vote. <br /> <br />The City Manager stated that the Commission would not be asked to take action on Item #5, Brown field Area <br />Designation to allow more time for a more formal notification process. A presentation will be given for <br />discussion purposes only. <br /> <br />The City Attorney distributed Ordinance 03-1099, Adult Entertainment Revisions, and requested the <br />Commission amend the Agenda to add the ordinance. Ordinance 03-1099 addresses a recent case that came <br />out of the Eleventh Circuit that involved a couple of technical minor provisions of our Adult Entertainment <br />License Ordinance. In order that the minor issues can be addressed in a timely manner, she requested the <br />Commission place it on the Agenda for first reading and schedule the second reading and Public Hearing for <br />August 25, 2003. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark to add to the Agenda, <br />Ordinance 03-1099, Adult Entertainment Revisions as requested by the City <br />Attorney. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried <br />unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br /> AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br /> <br />John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida, 32707, asked to be recognized to speak <br />on Items 2, 4 and 5, <br /> <br />David Henson, 233 Bridle Path, Casselberry, Florida, 32707, suggested the City Commission adopt a policy <br />regarding increasing or broadening the taxable base of the City, i.e., aggressive annexations. <br /> <br /> <br />
