Resolution 03-1430 - Contract with WMC Huntersfield LLC to Purchase Two Parcels of Land & Related Budget Transfer MOTION: Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark that Resolution 03-1430, Purchase of Hunterfiled Property, be read by title only. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Kathy Cook and carried unanimously by voice vote. The City Clerk read Resolution 03-1430 by title as follows: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO ENTER INTO A COMMERCIAL CONTRACT WITH WMC HUNTERSFIELD, LLC, FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO PARCELS OF LAND ADJACENT TO THE HUNTEREIELD WATER TOWER SITE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Staff Presentation: Tony Segreto, Public Works Director, presented a proposal to purchase two parcels of land adjacent to the City's Hunterfield Water Tower, one parcel contains two water supply wells and a former water treatment facility; the other parcel is vacant. Purchase of the additional wells and property and construction of a new water treatment facility would allow the City to more effectively service the area and provide additional operation flexibility in the future. Staff Recommendation: Approval of Resolution 03-1430 with the following budget transfer: Account Number Account Description Amount 403-0754-533-61.06 Land $185,500.00 Decrease Account Number Account Description Amount 403-0754-533-67.76 Booster Pumps for Hunterfield $185,000.00 MOTION: Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark that Resolution 03-1430, Purchase of Hunterfield Water Plant Property, with related budget transfer be approved as presented. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Linda Hart and carried unanimously by voice vote.
