City Commission Meeting <br />July 14, 2003 <br />Page 14 <br /> <br />He believed the seller's prices was under market value by at least 10 percent. The City is getting a very <br />good deal and warranty deeds should not be issued for the $35,000 price. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark that Resolution 03-1428, <br />Contract with Casselberry Investment Properties Purchase, be approved <br />with the stipulation that all the property will be conveyed by special <br />warranty deed and with the inclusion of the related budget transfer. The <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried <br />unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br /> 7. Resolntion 03-1429 <br />Award of Bid to Sumerex Engineering Company for Golf Course Well Improvements <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark that Resolntion 03-1429, <br />Golf Coarse Well Improvements Bid, be read by title only. The motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried unanimously by <br />voice vote. <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 03-1429 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />AUTHORIZING SUMEREX ENGINEERING COMPANY TO PROVIDE <br />CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR THE GOLF COURSE WELL <br />IMPROVEMENTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />StaffPresentation: Tony Segreto, Public Works Director, stated that the City had received approval <br />from the Water Management District tore-activate an existing well at the golf course to booster peak <br />demand in supplementing the reclaimed water supply to the golf course. The improvements will require <br />complete reconstruction of the well pump, piping, valves and controls. The lowest bid received was from <br />Sumerex Engineering Company for a total of $76,500.00. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: Award bid to Sumerex Engineering for a total price of 76,500.00. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark that Resolution 03-1429, Bid <br />for Golf Course Improvements be awarded to Sumerex Engineering <br />Company in the amount of $75,500.00 as recommended. The motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried unanimously by <br />voice vote. <br /> <br /> <br />
