The motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan <br />Doerner and carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br /> 5. Resolution 03-1427 <br />Occupational License Agreement with Seminole County <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark that Resolution 03-1427, <br />Occupational License Agreement with Seminole County, be read by title <br />only. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Linda Hart and carried <br />unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 03-1427 as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO OCCUPATIONAL LICENSING; <br />ACCEPTING THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN SEMINOLE <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA AND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA; <br />PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF ADMINISTRATIVE <br />RESPONSIBILITIES RELATIVE TO THE COLLECTION AND <br />ENFORCEMENT OF OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE TAXES; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Dick Wells, Community Development Director stated that Seminole County had <br />been working for the last few years to develop a county-wide occupational licensing system that would <br />increase customer convenience and satisfaction while making the occupational licensing program more <br />effective. Upon adoption of this agreement, the City of Casselberry would begin collecting both City and <br />County occupational license fees for businesses located in the City and issuing licenses for both <br />jurisdictions. According to the Agreement, the City will receive $2.50 for each County license issued; <br />$3.00 for each transferred license and retain all fees related to enforcement of the County license. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: Agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney and staff recommends <br />approval of Resolution 03-1427 authorizing the Occupational License Agreement with Seminole County. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark that Resolution 03-1427, <br />Occupational License Agreement with Seminole County, as presented. The <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried <br />unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />Commissioner Cook noted a correction in the Resolution title - Line 6 - correct spelling of occupational. <br /> <br /> <br />
