City Commission Meeting <br />May 12, 2003 <br />Page 10 <br /> <br />The reading of Resolution 03-1419 was from a corrected copy passed ont at the beginning of the <br />meeting (May 12, 2003). <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: The Public Works Director stated the Wolf Trail Neighborhood Improvement <br />Project included sanitary sewer, driveway aprons and sidewalks on Wolf Trail; drainage on <br />Osceola Trail; sidewalks and driveway aprons on North Winter Park Drive. The project is <br />funded through Community Development Block Grant Funding (CDBG) and additional in-kind <br />City services. Bids received are as follows: <br /> <br />APEC, Inc. <br />Cathcart Contracting Company <br />Gibbs & Register, Inc. <br />MASCI Corporation <br /> <br />$648,835.00 <br />$513,355.70 <br />$498,000.00 <br />$432,993.00 <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: Bid be awarded to MASCI Corporation in the amount of $432,993.00. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Al Clark to approve Resolution 03-1419, <br />Wolf Trail Neighborhood Improvement Project, as corrected and <br />recommended. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Linda <br />Hart and carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />7. Ordinance 03-1086 - Electrical Distribution Franchise Agreement - Progress Energy <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark that Ordinance 03- <br />1086, Electrical Distribution Franchise Agreement with Progress <br />Energy, be read on first reading by title only. The motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried unanimously <br />by voice vote. <br /> <br />The City Clerk read ordinance 03-1086 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO FLORIDA POWER CORPORATION <br />d/b/a PROGRESS ENERGY, INC., A NON-EXCLUSIVE ELECTRIC <br />UTILITY FRANCHISE; PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND <br />CONDITIONS ACCOMPANYING THE GRANT OF FRANCHISE; <br />PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF CERTAIN PROVISIONS; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br /> <br />
