COMMISSION/STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />Commissioner Doemer: <br /> <br />Noted recent improvements to the Shoot Straight Gun Range on U.S. Highway 17-92 and suggested <br />implementation of senffmg out letters of appreciation to recognize businesses who make upgrades <br />and renovations to improve their businesses. <br /> <br />Commissioner Cook: <br /> <br />Requested a status report on a communication from Albert Cook regarding Bob Newham and <br />concerns regarding the City sign code. Mrs. Reischmann stated she had responded to the <br />communication in that she did not find the portion of the Code in question to be ambiguous and that <br />a copy of the response should have been forwarded to the City Commission. Commissioner Cook <br />stated she did not receive it and requested another copy of the response. <br />Stated that she did not intend to insult longtime volunteer board members by suggesting that it would <br />be nice to get some new faces on the boards, but rather was responding to the increase in board <br />applications received. <br /> <br />Comnglssioner Hart: <br /> <br />Commended Mr. Wells for his presentation regarding the redevelopment of the dog track property <br />made at the February 5, 2003 Council of Local Governments in Seminole County meeting. <br />Thanked Mr. Schluckebier for his years of dedicated service to the City of Casselberry. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark: <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br />Mayor Pronovost: <br /> <br />Reported he recently had another telephone conversation with Bill Habermeyer, President of Florida <br />Power, and that in summary Mr. Habermeyer was letting him know that negotiations were at <br />impasse. Mayor Pronovost stated he reiterated to Mr. Habermeyer that the matter needed to be <br />addressed with the City's appointed negotiating team. Discussion ensued regarding communications <br />from Flor/da Power outside of the negotiating team and Commission consensus was to relay to <br />Florida Power that any communications made by Florida Power outside of the negotiating <br />teams must be made in writing and to the City Commission as a whole, not individually. <br />Expressed gratitude to Mr. Schluckebier for his years of dedicated service to the City of Casselberry. <br /> <br />Mrs. McPherson: <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br /> <br />
