Chairman <br />Bakalla asked if a representative was present to speak on this item. There was no one present for <br />this item. <br />Audience Participation: Chairman Bakalla asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak about <br />this item. No one came forward to speak about this item. <br />MOTION: Mr. Minnis moved that the Planning and Zoning Commission, acting as <br />the City's Local Planning Agency, recommend approval of case number <br />ZMA 24-01 to the City Commission, based on the staff report and the <br />testimony and evidence presented, that the request meets the applicable <br />provisions of the ULDR and is consistent with the City's Comprehensive <br />Plan as per the written findings in the staff report. Mr. Curran seconded <br />the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />B. FLU 24-03: An Ordinance to Amend the Future Land Use Map Designation for <br />Parcel ID 28-21-30-300-0280-0000 (2075 Howell Branch Rd) <br />Staff presentation: Hunter McFerrin, Planner I, presented case number FLU 24-03 to the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission to consider the request of the applicant to amend the City's Future Land <br />Use Map (FLUM) to Commercial. The property is located near the intersection of Howell Branch <br />Road and Lake Howell Road. The property is about 1.79 acres, and the Future Land Use proposal <br />is Commercial. The property currently has Seminole County zoning and the zoning being <br />requested, in coordination with this request, is CG (Commercial general). The subject property <br />was annexed into the City at the end of February 2024. <br />A notice for the proposed amendment was posted on the subject property on February 29, 2024, <br />and on the same day, a notification letter was sent to residents within 500 feet of the subject <br />property. Additionally, a public hearing notice was advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on March 1, <br />2024. <br />Staff recommends that the approval of case number ZMA 24-01 by the Planning & Zoning <br />Commission, based on the staff report and the testimony and evidence presented, that the request <br />meets the applicable provisions of the Unified Land Development Regulations (ULDR) and is <br />consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan as per the written findings in the staff report. <br />Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission asked questions of staff. <br />Discussion: Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission asked staff questions.
