CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of December 16, 2024 — Rcgular Meeting <br />Page 9 of 21 <br />Tile City Clerk read Resolution 24-3477 by title, as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SECOND <br />AMENDMENT TO THE FIRE AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES INTERLOCAL <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN SEMINOLE COUNTY AND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY WHICH <br />INCLUDES THE CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY TO SEMINOLE COUNTY AND A <br />PURCHASE AND SALE AGREEMENT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, <br />AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Community Development Director Christopher Schmidt gave an overview of <br />Resolution 24-3477 which approves the Second Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement to the Fire and <br />Emergency Medical Services Interlocal Agreement between Seminole County and the City of Casselberry <br />and a Purchase and Sale Agreement for real property located on Wilshire Boulevard for the relocation of <br />Fire Station 25. In 2014 the City entered into the hnterlocal Agreement with Seminole County to consolidate <br />its fire department and the Second Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement being considered in this item <br />outlines the details necessary to transfer a portion of the Wilshire property to Seminole County as previously <br />planned. The subject property is a wooded lot consisting of approximately two acres adjacent to the current <br />Police Department. The Second Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement also provides for establishment <br />of access, parking, utility and dunpster easements and a maintenance agreement to benefit both parties. <br />Seminole County approved the Purchase Agreement, the Second Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement <br />and the associated easements as part of the Consent Agenda at its December 10, 2024 meeting. <br />Budget Impact: The estimated closing costs are $2,890.00, which will be evenly split with the County, <br />amounting to $1,445.00 each. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval <br />of Resolution 24-3477, the Second Amendment to the Fire and Emergency Medical Services Interlocal <br />Agreement, and the Purchase and Sale Agreement. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address Resolution 24-3477. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Divita moved to approve Resolution 24-3477, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Busch. Motion carried unanimously by <br />voice vote 5-0. <br />B. Resolution 24-3479 — Approving the Conveyance of Real Property Located on <br />Wilshire Boulevard to Seminole County for the Construction of New County Fire <br />Station <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 24-3479 by title, as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE <br />CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON WILSHIRE BOULEVARD TO <br />SEMINOLE COUNTY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW FIRE STATION; PROVIDING <br />FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />
