Budget Amendment #25-010 — Adjustments to the FY 2025 Penny Tax Budgeted <br />Revenue <br />Introduction: Consideration of Budget Amendment #25-010 provides for adjustments to the FY 2025 <br />Budget to recognize increased penny tax revenue now expected. <br />Discussion: The City has learned that the State of Florida has raised its forecast of certain revenues that <br />will be distributed to the City of Casselberry during FY25 which were not included in the adopted budget. <br />This budget amendment will adjust the FY 2025 budget to recognize unanticipated penny tax revenue. The <br />Infrastructure Surtax Fund will increase $1,934,401. <br />Budget Impact: The Infrastructure Sales Surtax account #114-0000-312.63-00 will increase by <br />$1,934,401 and the Other Non -Operating Source account #114-0000-389.90-00 will decrease by <br />$1,934,401. <br />BA #25-010 <br />Explanation of Request: This budget amendment seeks City Commission approval to adjust FY 2025 <br />Penny Tax Budgeted Revenue in the amount of $1,934,401. <br />Account Number Account Description Amount <br />Increase: <br />114-0000-312.63-00 Infrastructure Sales Surtax $1,934,401 <br />Decrease: <br />114-0000-389.90-00 Other Non -Operating Source $1,934,401 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Finance Director recommended approval of Budget <br />Amendment #25-010 amending the City of Casselberry FY 2025 Budget. <br />J. Application for Florida Department of Environmental Protection Sand and Grit <br />Removal Grant for Wastewater Treatment Facilities <br />Introduction: Submittal of an application to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) <br />for the Sand and Grit Removal Grant for Wastewater Treatment Facilities applies for grant funds to be used <br />for the cleaning and disposal of debris from the Surge Tank #2 and Plant # 1 at the City's Water Reclamation <br />Facility. <br />Budget Impact: Submitting the application for the grant creates no immediate impact to the City Budget. <br />However, upon approval by FDEP, a 50% match is required. Funds are currently available in the FY 2025 <br />Water Reclamation Repair and Maintenance account #407-0753-535.46-00 to allocate the match and allow <br />expenditures on a reimbursement basis. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Utilities Director recommended approval to submit an <br />application to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for the Sand and Grit Removal Grant <br />
