Code Enforcement Hearing <br />Minutes, October 17, 2024 <br />Page 4 <br />Violation — City Code 3-10.9.d.2.a.2 Recreation Equipment Screening Requirements. <br />Staff Presentation: Micelania Acevedo, Code Compliance Supervisor advised that this case was in <br />compliance and would not be heard. No further action was taken. <br />G. CE -24.003071: 461 Iris Road <br />Violation — City Code 3-10.9.d.2.a.2 Recreation Equipment Screening Requirements <br />Staff Presentation: Jacob Salas, Code Compliance Officer gave testimony for case CE -24-003071, located <br />at 461 Iris Road. The property was reinspected and found to remain in violation on October 14, 2024. The <br />City requested a correction date of October 31, 2024. If there is no compliance by October 31, 2024, then <br />a fine of $75.00 per day should then be imposed for each day of non-compliance thereafter. The City <br />requested a subsequent hearing date of November 21, 2024, to determine compliance. There was a <br />representative present to speak about this case. <br />Discussion: Amanda Hart, 461 Iris Road, property owner gave testimony. Ms. Hart stated that to get a <br />fence would be $3,500.00, but she also does not intend to keep the boat. The boat does have "for sale" <br />signs and is in the process of trying to sell the boat but needs more time. Mr. Salas advised that the City <br />could extend the compliance date to November 21, 2024. Discussion continued. <br />Special Magistrate Ruling: A ruling was made by the Special Magistrate that case CE, -24-003071, located <br />at 461 Iris Road and was found in violation of City Code 3-10.9.d.2.a.2 and if there is no compliance a <br />$75.00 per day fine will be imposed. The Respondent was given until November 21, 2024, 1 p.m., to achieve <br />compliance. A subsequent hearing well be held on November 21, 2024, to determine if compliance has <br />been achieved. <br />H. CE -24-003292: 280 Wetumpa Court <br />Violation — City Code 3-10.3.0: Overgrowth, Weeds, Trash and Debris <br />Staff Presentation: Marie Plaza, Code Compliance Officer gave testimony for case CE -24-003292, located <br />at 280 Wetumpa Court. The property was reinspected and found to remain in violation on October 14, <br />2024. The City requested a correction date of October 31, 2024. If there is no compliance by October 31, <br />2024, then a fine of $50.00 per day should then be imposed for each day of non-compliance thereafter. The <br />City requested a subsequent hearing date of November 21, 2024, to determine compliance.
