CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of November 10, 2008 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 14 or 32 <br />Discussion: Commissioner Doerner stated she has not seen drawings of the park since it has been <br />reconfigured and voiced concerns about voting on items associated with the project prior to seeing the <br />reconfigured drawings. The City Manager stated the the final plans are scheduled to be brought forward to <br />the City Commission in December. The plans are currently being processed by the Planning & Zoning <br />Commission and the Community Redevelopment Agency, Commissioner Doerner inquired as what parking <br />plans had been developed. Staff indicated that the parking plans have been reconfigured and feel sufficient <br />parking is available. Commissioner Miller stated the purpose of the Casselberry Rotary Club's International <br />Folk Festival events was to raise money for new playground for the park. It was clarified that unfortunately <br />that most of the proceeds were lost in last year's washout of the event. The Rotary Club is still interested <br />in providing the remaining proceeds to the City and are currently discussing the process in order for that to <br />be accomplished. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Miller moved to approve the <br />cooperative purchase from REP Services, Inc. For <br />playground equipment and artificial grass system for <br />Lake Concord Park (Anniversary Park) as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Doerner. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 - 0. <br />N. Budget Amendment #09-013 - Establishment of a Parks & Facilities Maintenance <br />Account in the Tree Replacement Fund and Recognition of Funds from the Urban <br />and Community Forestry Grant Pro rg_am <br />Introduction: Budget Amendment BA #09-013 provides for authorization to establish a Parks & Facilities <br />Maintenance account in the amount of $23,000 within the City's Tree Replacement Fund to furnish trees <br />throughout the City's park system. This amount also recognizes and includes a $5,000 grant from the Urban <br />and Community Forestry Grant Program for the replacement of trees. <br />Budget Impact: The impact to the Tree Replacement Fund is a reduction of $23,000 and an increase of <br />$23,000 to the newly created Parks & Facilities Maintenance Account No. 115-0410-572.46.15, which allows <br />the Division to purchase trees.
