WHEREAS, words with underlined type shall constitute additions to the original text, and <br />strike thr- ,,,,.i, type shall constitute deletions to the original text and asterisks (* * *) indicate that <br />text shall remain unchanged from the language existing prior to the adoption of this Ordinance; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, hereby finds this Ordinance <br />to be in the best interest of the citizens of Casselberry's public health, safety, and welfare. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS. The above recitals are hereby adopted as the <br />legislative findings of the City Commission. The City Commission finds and determines that <br />competent substantial evidence supports the findings and determinations made in this Section. <br />SECTION II. AMENDMENT OF ARTICLE V, ZONING DISTRICT <br />REGULATIONS, SECTION 2-5.3. Section 2-5.3. Land use by districts., is hereby amended to <br />read as shown in Exhibit "A" attached to this Ordinance. <br />SECTION III. AMENDMENT OF ARTICLE XXI, LANGUAGE AND <br />DEFINITIONS, SECTION 5-21.2. Section 5-21.2, Definition of terms, is hereby amended, in <br />part, to read as follows: <br />*** <br />Veterinary and bet -related med7ea services. A facility for animal examinations, medical <br />procedures, and general care, including grooming, daycare, and overnight boarding, in which all <br />services and activities are conducted indoors. This use may include retail sale of pet -related <br />PUP-MMURIP-MmAvill W.. <br />*** <br />SECTION IV. VESTING OF LAND USES. Land uses that are lawful uses at the time <br />of the effective date of this Ordinance shall rernain legally conforming uses and shall be exempt <br />from this Ordinance. Despite the vesting of existing uses, in the abundance of caution, City staff <br />is directed to provide Bert J. Harris Act notices to certain businesses at City staff s discretion to <br />ensure that all businesses are aware of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION V. CODIFICATION. It is the intention of the City Commission of the City of <br />Casselberry, Florida, and it is hereby ordained that the provisions of this Ordinance shall become <br />and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry, Florida; that the Sections <br />of this Ordinance may be renumbered or re -lettered to accomplish such intention; and that the <br />word, "Ordinance" may be changed to "Section," "Article," or other appropriate word. <br />Page 2 <br />Ordinance 24-1607 <br />
