Installation testing, and maintenance of protective devices shall be conducted by certified personnel approved by the City's Public Works &Utilities Department. The non-residential consumer shall notify the City's Public Works &Utilities Department at least 48 hours in advance, in writing when the tests are to be undertaken so that a representative is present as a witness if the City so desires. The consumer shall keep records on their testing, maintenance, and repair activities related to cross connection control and shall make these records available upon request. Copies of all testing, maintenance, and repair records shall be sent to the City's Public Works & Utilities Department immediately after the work is performed City shall be responsible for testing of backflowpreventers required for all properties subiect to the residential cross connection control program. All residential properties with backflow preventers attached to the potable water system shall be required to participate in this program and are subject to associated fees or charges established by the City. The owner of any property subject to this program shall ensure that the device is accessible to the representatives of the City for the purposes stated herein. _Failure to provide access to the device shall be cause for discontinuing potable water service until access to the device is resolved to the satisfaction of the C4Y. If Cit testing determines insufficiencies for the protection devices from testing the owner will be notified of the deficiencies and will be required to fix the issues within 30 days from notice. The owner will also be responsible for the retest required from anv deficiencies found. The City will not be responsible for maintenance and repairs to cross connection control devices The City will also not be responsible for the testing of non-residential cross connection control devices. SECTION VI. CODIFICATION. It is the intention of the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, Florida, and it is hereby ordained that the provisions of this Ordinance shall become and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry, Florida; that the Sections of this Ordinance may be renumbered or re -lettered to accomplish such intention; that the word, "Ordinance" may be changed to "Section," "Article," or other appropriate word. SECTION VII. CONFLICTS. All Ordinances or Resolutions, or parts of Ordinances or Resolutions in conflict with any provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict. SECTION VIII. SEVERABILITY. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Ordinance.
