RESOLUTION 24-3454 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY COMMISSION CODE OF PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Section 4.17 of the Casselberry City Charter provides that the City Commission shall determine its own rules and order of business; and WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to amend and update the City Commission Code of Parliamentary Procedures previously amended and updated in 2013 by Resolution 13-2496; and WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to include a new provision that Commissioners' reports may be limited to ten (10) minutes if deemed necessary by the Mayor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves and adopts the City Commission Code of Parliamentary Procedures attached hereto and made a part hereof. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED and ADOPTED this 44' day of L C, , AD 2024. ATTEST: Donna G.
