Resolution 24-3427 — Approving a Vacant Land Contract Between Casselberry Investment Properties, Ltd. and the City of Casselberry for Eleven Properties and Related Budget Amendment #24-038 The City Clerk read Resolution 24-3427 by title, as follows: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING A VACANT LAND CONTRACT BETWEEN CASSELBERRY INVESTMENT PROPERTIES, LTD, AND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR ELEVEN PROPERTIES AS LISTED IN EXHIBIT A OF THE ATTACHED CONTRACT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." Staff Presentation: City Manager Randy Newlon stated that Resolution 24-3427 provides for approval of a Vacant Land Contract for the purchase of eleven (1 l) miscellaneous properties owned by Casselberry Investment Properties, Ltd., and related Budget Amendment #24-038. The purchase of the eleven (11) parcels will provide the City with various opportunities for which the properties could be used, including stormwater, dedicated conservation areas, trails, pocket parks, and golf course maintenance. The total value of the eleven properties is approximately $74,000, and if the purchase is approved, then Casselberry Investment Properties, Ltd. intends to donate six additional parcels to the City which are primarily submerged lands, and which will be addressed in the next agenda item. Budget Impact: Funding for acquisition and closing costs is being requested and will increase account number 001-0190-519.61-07 by $90,000 and account number 001-0000-389.90-00 by $90,000. BA #24-038 Explanation of Request: This budget amendment seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for the purchase of CIP (Casselberry Investment Properties, Ltd.) properties in amount of $90,000.
