CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of June 10, 2024 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 19 of 20 <br />Commissioner Nancy Divita - Seat No. 2: <br />• Congratulated Mayor Henson on his re-election due to running unopposed. <br />• Expressed appreciation to City Clerk staff for coordinating and setting up for the Ethics <br />Training on Thursday, May 16t1i, stating that it was nice to be able to get the required training <br />locally without having to travel. <br />• Recently attended the following events and meetings: Senior Awards Ceremony on Friday, <br />May 24t11 at the Recreation Center; Classic Rock and Car Show on Saturday, May 25' in Lake <br />Concord Park; Custard with a Cop at Culvers on Tuesday, May 28t"; and the Casselberry <br />Chamber of Commerce Business Luncheon at the Casselberry Arts Center on Wednesday, June <br />5t" <br />• Reported she had met with a Sr. Vice President of a company called Red Speed, which offers <br />school zone photo enforcement, and had forwarded the information to the City Manager to <br />evaluate whether it might be a service the City wished to further pursue. <br />• Participated in a flag sorting event for a non-profit organization called Heroes Strong who <br />indicated they were interested in having a big Flag Day event in Lake Concord Park next year, <br />so she had provided information to them on who to contact for events in the park. <br />• Toured the new Seminole County Domestic Violence Center and Annex Building which <br />provides privacy for victims of domestic violence to file the paperwork necessary for an <br />injunction. <br />Vice Mayor/Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />• Echoed comments made by Commissioner Divita regarding recent events which lie had also <br />attended. <br />• Congratulated Mayor Henson and Commissioner Divita on running unopposed for their seats. <br />• Congratulated Commissioner Albritton again on the news about him and his wife expecting <br />their first child. <br />Mayor/Commissioner David Henson - Seat No. 5: <br />Recently attended the following events and meetings: Tri -County League of Cities Ethics <br />Training at the Recreation Center on Thursday, May 16t1i; Mayors and Managers Meeting on <br />May 24t1i; Senior Awards Ceremony at the Recreation Center on Friday, May 24"'; Classic Rock <br />and Car Show on Saturday, May 25"' at Lake Concord Park; Custard with a Cop at Culvers on <br />Tuesday, May 28"'; Casselberry Chamber of Commerce Business Luncheon at the Casselberry <br />Arts Center on Wednesday, June 5"'; and MetroPlan Orlando Municipal Advisory Committee <br />meeting on Thursday, June 6"'. <br />Stated that he was looking forward to the Summer Concert Series that Blue Bamboo Center for <br />the Arts would be presenting at the new Casselberry Arts Center. <br />Vice Mayor Aramendia added two items he had missed in his report which were the Casselberry Chamber <br />of Commerce Political Hob Nob on Wednesday, June 12"' from 5-8 p.m. at Lake Howell High School, <br />where people would have an opportunity to meet with local candidates running for office in Seminole <br />County, and the Museum of Seminole County History's presenting of an exhibit called DISASTER! from <br />
