CASSCLBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of May 13, 2024 — Regular Meeting Page 6 of 23 Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works & Utilities Director recommended approval to piggyback Orange County's Contract No. Y24 -128B with Aaron's Backflow Services, Inc. for Testing and Repair of Backflow Prevention Assemblies on an as -needed basis for an amount not to exceed $350,000 for the term beginning May 13, 2024, through .January 31, 2025. City Commission approval further delegates to the City Manager through the established Purchasing Policy the authority to approve task authorizations within the scope of the Agreement. Piggyback Agreement with Rep Services, Inc. for Purchase and Installation of Two Pavilions for Wirz Park Introduction: Approval to piggyback Clay County's Contract #18/19-2 Various Equipment and Amenities for Parks and Playgrounds with Rep Services, Inc. for the purchase of two pavilions to be installed for the Wirz Park project in the amount of $122,381.60 is requested. (Ref: PBA -2024-1177) Budget Impact: Sufficient funding in the amount of $122,381.60 is available and budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2024 Parks Master Plan Building Improvements account #307-0410-572.62-25 for the purchase of these items. Sole Source Purchase of a Smith & Loveless Pumping Station Unit for Lift Station #27 Lago Vista and Related Budget Amendment 424-043 Introduction: Approval for the single/sole source purchase of a Smith & Loveless Pumping Station Unit from Hydra Service Inc. in the amount of $99,062 for Lift Station #27 Lago Vista and Related Budget Amendment #24-043 is requested. (Ref: SG -2024-1184) Budget Impact: Budget Amendment #24-043 will increase the ARPA (American Recovery Plan Act) Lift Station Improvements Other account 4124-0752-535.63-24 by $48,071, the ARPA Equipment Other account #124-0752-535.67-35 by $99,062 and the ARPA Other Non-operating Source account # 124-0000- 389.90-00 by $147,133 to cover costs associated with this work. BA #24-043 Explanation of Request: This budget amendment seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for the purchase of a pumping station unit and additional rehabilitation services for Lift Station #27 Lago Vista, in the amount of $147,133.
