4. Landscapinz and maintenance power tools or motorized equipment. No person shall <br />operate or cause to be operated any landscaping or maintenance power tools or motorized <br />equipment Monday through Friday before 7:00 a.m. or after 7:00 p.m. and Saturday and <br />Sunday before 8:00 a.m. or after 6:00 p.m. No person shall operate or cause to be operated <br />any landscaping or maintenance Hower tools or motorized equipment or appurtenances <br />thereto with sound -control devices less effective than those provided on the original <br />equipment. <br />5. Motor vehicles, motorcycles, mopeds and motorized scooters. No person shall cause a <br />rapid throttle advance (revving) of an internal combustion engine resulting in a noise <br />disturbance. <br />See. 8. Exemptions. <br />Construction operations_ between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., Mondav through Saturday. for <br />which building permits have been issued, providing all equipment is operated in <br />accordance with its manufacturers' specifications uses as standard equipment its <br />manufacturers' mufflers and noise -reducing equipment and is in proper operating <br />condition. <br />2. Emergency energy release devices. <br />3. Facility -wide warning devices. <br />4. Back-up alarms so long as they are self-adjusting to ambient sound levels and meet OSHA <br />standards. <br />5. Noises arising from any authorized emergency vehicle when responding to an emergency <br />call or acting in time of emergency. <br />6. Noise caused in the performance of emergency work, at the site of the emergency. for the <br />immediate safety, health or welfare of the community or individuals of the community, or <br />to restore property to a safe condition. <br />7. Motor vehicles, mopeds, or motorized scooters as defined herein and muffled in <br />accordance with state law. <br />8. Impulsive sound resulting from the controlled detonation of explosives at construction <br />sites. <br />9. Sanitation operations which include the unloading, emptying or collection of any waste or <br />recyclable container between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. daily. <br />10. Landscaping and maintenance power tools or motorized equipment between 7:00 a.m. and <br />7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Saturday and <br />Ordinance 24-1599 <br />Page 8 of 10 <br />
