CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of February 26, 2024 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 12 of 14 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended adoption <br />of Ordinance 24-1592 on second and final reading. <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Henson stated this was a public hearing to hear and consider comments and <br />questions regarding Ordinance 24-1592. Mayor Henson opened the floor for public participation. No one <br />came forward to address Ordinance 24-1592. Mayor Henson closed the public hearing relative to <br />Ordinance 24-1592. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Busch moved to adopt Ordinance 24-1592 on second and final <br />reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Aramendia. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. <br />12. OTHER ITEMS <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Henson announced that persons wishing to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on <br />the agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Henson announced the rules <br />of decorum. No one came forward. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />A. Procurement Information Report for the Period January 1, 2024 through January <br />31, 2024 <br />Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Information Report for the month of January 2024 was contained <br />in the Commissioners' agenda packets for review. He noted that the report contained information about <br />minor contracts that were issued under delegated authority of staff during this period. <br />Attended the Police Department's 25"' Annual Awards and Promotional Ceremony on <br />Thursday, February 22nd at the Recreation Center and enjoyed the event. <br />Attended the Mayors and Managers Meeting which was hosted by the City of Casselberry on <br />Tuesday, February 20"' at the new Casselberry Arts Center. Expressed appreciation to his <br />Executive Assistant Lorie Mertens Black for coordinating the event. <br />Reported lie had enjoyed participating in the bowling fundraiser for the Casselberry Police <br />Foundation on Saturday, February 17"'. <br />
