There is an issue with getting a variance. <br />Because of this process is why the City is allowing for 90 days to get the permit and then put on the roof to satisfy the <br />violation. <br />The Special Magistrate asked if there was anything further from Code Enforcement and if the property owner wished to <br />speak. <br />The Special Magistrate swore in the property owner and asked about the timeline. <br />Carlos Martinez, property owner of 831 N Triplet Lake Dr advised that the roof was damaged in the storms and a tree that <br />was over the house. Mr. Martinez is trying to repair the roof and extend the property by closing off the carport and building <br />a garage. <br />Discussion. <br />The Special Magistrate wanted to see the items that could be removed (from the roof) in less than 90 days as we are entering <br />hurricane season. <br />Finding of fact: The Special Magistrate made a finding in CE -18-003253 831 N Triplet Lake Dr; there was evidence of a <br />violation. The finding was made in two parts, part was not having the roof repaired, the other part of the violation was the <br />debris/bricks on top of the roof that could be a hazard. The cement blocks need to be removed from the roof within 30 days <br />(June 8, 2019), the roof its self there is 90 days (August 7, 2019) to replace the roof even if the addition is denied. If the <br />violations are not corrected by the dates above a fine of $50.00 per day will be imposed.
