If a member of the Commission misses four regularly scheduled Commission meetings in any calendar year, an automatic review may bg conducted at a future noticed public hearing, and at the public hearing the member may be declared to have forfeited office by reason of absence from said meetings. City Charter Amendment 3: COMMISSIONER SEATING IN DECEMBER. Shall Article IV, Section 4.13 of the City Charter of the City of Casselberry be amended to provide for a consistent swearing in and seating of newly elected Commissioners at one organizational meeting in December following certification of the election, rather than staggered seatings? YES for approval ❑ NO for rejection ❑ Section 4.13. Assumption of office and establishment of organizational meeting. After expiration of the regular terms of those officials in office at the time of the effective date of this Section, all future elected officials to the office of Mayor or City Commission shall be sworn, seated and assume the duties and responsibilities of office at the next regular meeting in December or special called meeting of the City Commission immediately following certification of the election in which the member was elected to office. Office holders shall serve the office to which they were elected and sworn until their successor is sworn, seated and assumes office. Upon assumption of office, the Commission shall organize itself for the purpose of transacting any and all necessary lawful business of the City.
