Resolution 23-3573 — Sale of Surplus Real Property at 329 Seminola Boulevard to <br />Valerie Herrel <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 23-3573 by title, as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING THE SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY LOCATED AT 329 SEMINOLA <br />BOULEVARD (PARCEL ID 09-21-30-502-0000-0020) TO VALERIE HERREL; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: City Manager Randy Newlon stated approval of Resolution 23-3573 provides for the <br />sale of surplus real property located at 329 Seminola Boulevard, Parcel ID 09-21-30-502-0000-0020, for <br />the amount of $567,500 (Five Hundred Sixty -Seven Thousand Five Hundred and 00/100 Dollars) to Valerie <br />Harrel. Mr. Newlon gave a brief overview, stating the property was originally purchased for the purpose <br />of replacing a major lift station on Seminola Boulevard after the lift station was replaced, the property was <br />subsequently declared as surplus by the City Commission at its meeting on June 13, 2022. Four offers were <br />received, and the highest offer was made by Valerie Harrel for the recommended list price of $567,500.00. <br />Approval of Resolution 23-3573 would authorize the Mayor to execute the contract for sale and move <br />towards a closing on the property. In response to questions from the City Commission, Mr. Newlon advised <br />that the City has retained access to both the lift station and the lake for any future needed maintenance. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City's budget at this time. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager recommended approval of Resolution 23-3573 for the sale of <br />surplus real property located at 329 Seminola Boulevard, Parcel ID 09-21-30-502-0000-0020, for the <br />amount of $567,500.00 (Five Hundred Sixty -Seven Thousand Five Hundred and 00/100 Dollars) to Valerie <br />Harrel. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address Resolution 23-3573. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve Resolution 23-3573, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Busch.
