shall present its final report and recommendations to the City Commission no later than the City <br />Commission's meeting in January 22 of 2024. The City Commission, upon receipt of the <br />findings and recommendations of the Charter Review Advisory Committee, shall review same <br />and determine whether the existing Charter should be amended or revised. The City Commission <br />may cause to be prepared such Ordinance or Ordinances as it may deem advisable to amend or <br />revise the existing City Charter in the manner as provided by Chapter 166, Florida Statutes. <br />SECTION V. Legal and Staff Assistance. The Charter Review Advisory Committee <br />shall be provided legal assistance by the City Attorney and staff assistance by the City Clerk's <br />Office. The City Clerk and the City Attorney shall facilitate the Charter review process. <br />SECTION VI. Committee Meetings. All meetings of the Charter Review Advisory <br />Committee shall be noticed and open to the public as provided by Florida Law. The Committee <br />shall have minutes of each meeting taken, and such minutes shall be open to public inspection. <br />SECTION VII. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION VIII. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IX. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. Upon consideration and acceptance of the findings and <br />recommendations of the Charter Review Advisory Committee by the City Commission, the <br />Committee shall be deemed disbanded, and the Committee's existence shall terminate. <br />PASSED and ADOPTED this a 04*0 day of J"(�? _ , A.D., 2023. <br />ATTEST: <br />Donna G.
