H. Where operational requirements develop during a law enforcement operation that <br />require the crossing of jurisdictional lines, each party agrees to notify by radio, <br />telephone, or in writing, the Sheriff/Chief, or his designee, of the jurisdiction(s) involved, <br />prior to or as soon as possible thereafter, when jurisdictional lines are crossed. Said <br />notification may be made through the communications center. <br />I. Anytime a canine handler is deploying outside of his/her jurisdiction, he/she will notify <br />the local jurisdiction via radio or telephone of the deployment and reason. Said <br />notification may be made through the communications center. <br />J. While on a deployment, canine handlers will maintain communications at all times with <br />the appropriate jurisdiction within which they are located. <br />SECTION III. CANINE DEPLOYMENTS <br />Canine Teams may be deployed for numerous purposes including, but not limited to, the <br />following: <br />1. Area searches <br />2. Tracking <br />3. Building searches <br />4. Vehicle searches <br />5. Search for victims/missing persons <br />6. Crowd control <br />7. Article searches <br />8. Criminal apprehension <br />9. Warrants <br />10. Passive tracking <br />11. Narcotics Detection <br />12. Cadaver searches <br />13. Explosives, incendiary devices/substances and volatile substance detection. <br />SECTION IV. GUIDELINES FOR CANINE USAGE <br />All participating agencies are responsible for educating their K-9 deputies/officers as well as <br />their non K-9 deputies/officers regarding the following requirements: <br />A. General <br />City/County K-9 Unit (Mutual Aid Agreement — January 2017 <br />Cities of Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Casselberry, Lake (Mary, Longwood, <br />(Maitland, Oviedo, Sanford, Winter Park, Winter Springs, Sanford Airport Authority, the University of Central <br />Florida Police and the Seminole County Sheriff's Office <br />
