CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />CITY TREE ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />(CTAC) <br />The City of Casselberry City Tree Advisory Committee held a meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at <br />4:30 P.M. in the Casselberry City Hall, Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br />1. Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order by Ms. Rubio at 4:30p.m. <br />2. Roll Call <br />Roll was called; a quorum was present. <br />Members present: <br />Steve Spencer, Public Works & Utilities Department <br />Chuck Smith, Public Works & Utilities Department <br />Nick Cooper, Public Works & Utilities Department <br />Hunter McFerrin, Community Development Department <br />Lenny Barden, Public Works & Utilities Department <br />Alicia "Ro" Rubio, Chair, Public Works & Utilities Department <br />James Witherspoon, Vice Chair, Resident <br />3. Approval of November 15, 2022 Meeting Minutes <br />MOTION: Mr. Barden moved to approve the minutes of November 15, 2022 as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Mr. Spencer. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />4. 2022 Adopt -A -Tree Program Lessons Learned <br />The Committee discussed lessons learned over the past few cycles, including potentially holding off on <br />placing the tree flags until after hurricane season and removing the flags prior to a major storm. Additionally, the <br />Committee discussed providing better marketing material to get the message of the program out to more residents. <br />5. Discuss Potential Changes to the Program <br />The Committee discussed the following changes to the program: 1) Opening the application process to a <br />year-round model. Committee consensus was not in favor of this revision at this time, due to the increased staff <br />requirement to handle a year-round application window. (2) The Committee discussed revisions to the application <br />
