Tamera Mayhew and Suzette Smith gave testimony and advised that the property owner, George Taylor <br />passed away in March (2022). The home is currently on the market. The fence was permitted, the shed was <br />removed. The pipe was cut so it now drains into the yard, pavers have been pulled up with the exception of <br />the walkway. Ms. Mayhew advised that there were at least seven other housed on the same street with <br />pavers and/or concrete in the right of way. <br />Ms. Acevedo stated she was aware of other properties with illegal pavers and there are cases on those <br />properties. Ms. Acevedo stated the fence that was referred to did have a permit but there was additional <br />stuff added to the fencing that has not been permitted. Mr. Andreone advised that he was called out to the <br />property by Public Works due to the pipe that was draining into the City stormwater system and he needed <br />to look at all violations, not just one. <br />Discussion. <br />The Special Magistrate found that CE -22-000579, located at 1510 Guinevere Dr. Was in violation of the <br />City Code Sections as listed on the notice of code violation, based on testimony and evidence provided by <br />the Code Enforcement Officer. It was ordered that the respondent shall cure the violations by 1:00 P.M. <br />December 04, 2022. If there is no compliance by December 04, 2022, then a fine of $150.00 per day will <br />be imposed for each day the property remains in non-compliance. A subsequent hearing will be held on <br />December 15, 2022 to determine if compliance has been achieved. <br />CE -22-000454: New Case at 232 Hancock Ct. <br />• City Code 2-7.10.a Fence permit required <br />• City Code 2-7.10.c.2 Side and rear yard fences <br />Officer McDonald gave testimony that the property was reinspected and found to remain in violation on <br />October 17, 2022. The City requested a correction date of November 19, 2022. If no compliance by <br />November 19, 2022 then a fine of $75.00 per day should then be imposed for each day of non-compliance <br />thereafter. The City requests a subsequent hearing date of December 15, 2022 to determine compliance. <br />The Special Magistrate asked if there was anyone present to speak to this case, there was no one present to <br />speak. <br />The Special Magistrate found that CE -22-000454, located at 232 Hancock Ct. Was in violation of the City <br />Code Sections as listed on the notice of code violation, based on testimony and evidence provided by the <br />Code Enforcement Officer.
