CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of January 23, 2023 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 10 of 10 <br />Vice Mayor/Commissioner Mark Busch - Seat No. 3: <br />• Thanked Commissioner Aramendia for his part in securing the historical site marker for <br />Brightwater. <br />• Added his congratulations to the three retiring employees and thanked them for their service. <br />• Agreed that the City should continue its efforts regarding the Consumptive Use Permit, and it <br />should be made a priority. <br />Mayor/Commissioner David Henson - Seat No. 5: <br />• Noted that the City takes a proactive approach to maintaining its water and wastewater systems. <br />• Will be attending the following upcoming events and meetings: County Manager Candidate <br />Meet & Greet on January 25"'; Topping Out Ceremony for the new Police Station on February <br />2" d; and MetroPlan Orlando Municipal Advisory Committee (MAC) meeting on February 2"d. <br />• Advised that Seminole County will host a virtual presentation on January 25t1i from 2:30-3:00 <br />p.m. to solicit input regarding the use of ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) funds to address <br />the homelessness issue. <br />• Recently attended the following events and meetings: Leadership Seminole Joint Board <br />Meeting; Tri -County League of Cities General Membership meeting on January 19°'; and the <br />Mayors/Managers meeting on January 17t1i where he was selected to serve as Chairman; <br />• Advised that Seminole County has postponed a joint meeting with the public scheduled for <br />February relating to the One -Cent Sales Tax. <br />• Advised that the City of Winter Springs did not sign the Interlocal Agreement for the School <br />System, which nullified the agreement. <br />18.
