CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />City Clerk Donna Gardner shared the following information: <br />• Advised tonight will be the only City Commission meeting for the month of November and <br />noted City Hall and other City facilities will be closed on Thursday, November 24"' in <br />observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Announced the next City Commission meeting will <br />be held Monday, December 12"' at 5:30 p.m. <br />• The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held Saturday, December 3rd from 5-8 p.m. in <br />Lake Concord Park. <br />• The Santa Run will start Monday, December 5"' and will run for four consecutive nights, <br />December 5"' 6"' 7"' and 8"' and will begin nightly at City Hall at 6:00 p.m. There will be live <br />updates on Facebook as Santa and his elves make their way through the City each night. <br />• The Casselberry Food Truck event will be Friday, December 9"' at Lake Concord Park from 6- <br />9 p.m. and will have an extra added holiday bazaar with a variety of vendors and artisans so <br />attendees call take advantage of a little early holiday shopping. <br />• The Annual City-wide Holiday Decorating Contest will end on December 6t" when the judges <br />will ride through the City to judge the decorations. There will soon be information posted on <br />the City's website on how to enter the contest. <br />• The 20"' Annual Holiday Bicycle Ride to benefit New Hope for Kids will take place on <br />Saturday, December 10t" beginning at South Seminole Academy. Check-in and pre -ride <br />festivities begin at 4 p.m. with the ride beginning promptly at 6 p.m. <br />• Although delays were caused by Hurricane Nicole, Lake Concord Park will soon be filled with <br />holiday lights and decorations for all to see and enjoy. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Chad Albritton — Seat No. 4: <br />Thanked staff for putting in their time during the hurricane to make sure that all of the City's <br />residents' complaints and issues were heard immediately and that resolutions were found to <br />problems as they became apparent. Added that he wanted to thank them for being proactive <br />and especially for having the creativity and innovation to reach out to those residents who had <br />experienced issues in past hurricanes to make sure they were okay and safe this time, noting he <br />thought that was incredible. <br />Shared some concerns lie had received from a number of residents regarding the increase in <br />residential permit fees, noting that it was something that could be addressed in the future if the <br />City continued to receive these types of complaints. <br />Also shared some concerns from residents about streetlighting in the area of the flower streets, <br />stating he was not sure if it was the type of bulbs, but the residents felt it was rather dark at <br />night and they wanted to make sure the City was going to investigate what was causing the <br />issue. <br />
