Reorganization of the Public Works & Utilities Department — Distribution & Collection Division Introduction: Approval of the reorganization of the Distribution & Collection Division in the Public Works & Utilities Department by converting a Utility Service Worker/Utility Technician I/Utility Technician II position to a. Lead Utility Technician position is requested. Budget Impact: There is no budget impact at this time. Sufficient funds are available in the Water and Sewer Fund Distribution and Collection Regular Salary and Wages account 4401-0751-536.12-00. Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works & Utilities Director recommended approval of the reorganization of the Public Works & Utilities Department — Distribution & Collection Division. R. Excuse Absence of Mayor/Commissioner David Henson Introduction: Mayor/Commissioner David Henson has advised that he will be out of town and unable to attend the November 14, 2022 Regular City Commission meeting. He has respectfully requested that his Excuse of Absence be placed on the Consent Agenda for consideration. Audience Participation: No one came forward to address the Consent Agenda. Commissioner Meadows requested item E — Authorization for the City Manager to Execute a Task Authorization with GAI Consultants, Inc. for Roofing Evaluation and Scoping Services for Brightwater and Related Budget Amendment #23-011 be pulled from the Consent Agenda for separate discussion and consideration. MOTION: Commissioner Meadows moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as amended by removing item E - Authorization for the City Manager to Execute a Task Authorization with GAI Consultants, Inc. for Roofing Evaluation and Scoping Services for Brightwater and Related Budget Amendment #23-011 for separate discussion and consideration. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Albritton. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. E. Authorization for the City Manager to Execute a Task Authorization with GAI Consultants Inc for Roofing Evaluation and Scoping Services for Brightwater and Related Budget Amendment 423-011 Staff Presentation: Public Works Divisions Director Leonard Barden stated approval of authorization for the City Manager to execute a Task Authorization with GAI Consultants, inc. in an amount not to exceed $65,000 for roofing evaluation and scoping services for Brightwater and related Budget Amendment #23- 01 1 are requested.
