Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works & Utilities Director recommended approval of Amendment No. 1 to the agreement with Prime Electrical Services, Inc. (Ref. RFP -2020-0532) for electrical services and repairs on an as -needed basis for an amount not to exceed $100,000 annually for the period beginning January 13, 2023 through January 14, 2024. Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement with Gibson Electric for Electrical Services and Repairs Introduction: Approval of Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement with Gibson Electric for electrical services and repairs in order to extend the term and increase the contract rates is requested. Piggyback Purchase of a Replacement Police Vehicle and Related Equipment Utilizing Florida Sheriffs Association Contract FSA22-VEL30.0 and Related Budget Amendment #23-015 Introduction: Approval to purchase a replacement Police Department vehicle and related equipment and fees in an amount not to exceed $39,890 from Garber Fleet Sales by piggybacking Florida Sheriffs Association Contract FSA22-VEL30.0, and related Budget Amendment #23-015 is requested. (Ref. PBA - 2023 -0983) Discussion: On July 1, 2022 a Police Department vehicle was the victim of a rear -end car crash and the damage exceeded the vehicle's value so it was deemed a total loss by the City's insurance carrier Florida Municipal Insurance Trust (FMIT). Budget Impact: Budget Amendment 423-015 will increase Insurance Proceeds account #001-0000- 369.85-00 and Machinery & Equipment/Vehicles account #001-0610-521.67-22 in the amount of $39,890, which will be used for the purchase of a new vehicle for the Police Department. There will be no impact to the budget as the proceeds have come from the vehicle insurance FMIT (Florida Municipal Insurance Trust) Claim #VA2022105163.
