GO i� 1;U1�U1 U Wl bBMANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA; REPEALING SECTIONS 2-146 THROUGH 2-156 OF THE CASSELBERRY CITY CODE AND REPLACING IT WITH NEW SECTIONS 2-146 THROUGH 2-156 TO COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 162, FLORIDA STATUTES, TO PROVIDE FOR A "LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD"; DEFINING ITS INTENT; PROVIDING FOR MEMBERSHIP AND TERMS OF OFFICE; PROVIDING FOR JURISDICTION OF THE BOARD; PROVIDING FOR CODE ENFORCEMENT PROCEDURE; PROVIDING FOR CONDUCT OF HEARINGS; SETTING FORTH THE POWERS OF THE BOARD; PROVIDING FOR THE IMPOSITION OF FINES, COSTS AND LIENS; PROVIDING FOR APPEALS OF BOARD DECISIONS; PROVIDING FOR NOTICE; REPEALING AMENDED ORDINANCE NO. 561; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Chapter 162 of the Florida Statutes provides for municipal code enforcement boards; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry, Florida, desires to bring its Code Enforcement Board into compliance with Chapter 162, Florida Statutes. NOW THEREFORE, be it enacted by the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, Florida, as follows: SECTION 1. Sections 2-146 through 2-156 are hereby repealed and replaced in their entirety ',s follows: Section 2-146 Title of Division. This Division shall be known and cited as the Code Enforcement Ordinance of the City. Section 2-147 Intent of Division. It is the intent of this Division to promote, protect and improve the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City by authorizing the creation of an administrative board with authority to impose administrative fines and other noncriminal penalties, to provide an equitable, expeditious, effective and inexpensive
