WHEREAS, the addition of the Property to the Community Redevelopment Area and <br />Plan and lot combination with the adjacent tract will further the CRA's goals of redevelopment <br />of the Property and the adjacent tract, and supports the intent of the CRA; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that a slum or blighted areas exists <br />on the Property, which is contiguous with the current Community Redevelopment Area <br />boundary, and that the redevelopment of the Property is necessary in the interest of the public <br />health, safety, morals or welfare of the residents of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, as per s. 163.346, F.S, notice of the proposed action was published pursuant <br />to s. 166.041(3)(a), F.S. for the required period and written notice sent by registered mail to the <br />applicable taxing authorities 15 days prior to the meeting where this Resolution is being <br />considered; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, Florida, has determined it <br />to be in the best interest of City residents and the community to add the Property to the Community <br />Redevelopment Area and Plan to facilitate lot combination and redevelopment of the Property and <br />the adjacent parcel which are under common ownership. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA: <br />SECTION I. RECITALS. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated <br />herein by reference. <br />SECTION II. AMENDMENT TO COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT PLAN. The <br />Community Redevelopment Plan is hereby amended to add the Property to the Community <br />Redevelopment Plan, specifically, the legal description located in Section 2. 1, Figures 1-1, 3-2, 3- <br />22, 3-23 and all other applicable portions of the Community Redevelopment Plan. <br />SECTION III. CITY STAFF DIRECTIVE. The City Commission of the City of <br />Casselberry hereby directs City staff to, when practicable, amend the Community Redevelopment <br />Plan to include an updated map and legal description which include the addition of the Property <br />and revised as otherwise necessary to reflect all property located within the Community <br />Redevelopment Area. <br />SECTION IV. CONFLICTS. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any <br />of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION V. SEVERABILITY. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />Resolution 22-3336 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />
