Bill Hufford, 527 Queens Mirror Circle, expressed appreciation to the City Commission and <br />staff for the Latin Jazz and Art Festival held in Lake Concord Park on Saturday, September <br />24t1i which he felt had been a great event and very well attended. He commended the City for <br />continuing to embrace the artist community and to include diverse cultures in its art exhibits <br />and events. <br />No one else came forward. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />A. Procurement Information Report for the Period August 1 2022 through August 31, <br />2022 <br />Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Information Report for the month of August 2022 was contained <br />in the Commissioners' agenda packets for review. He noted that the report contained information about <br />minor contracts that were issued under delegated authority of staff during this period. <br />• Recognized the Finance Department staff for all their hard work on preparation of the budget. <br />• Thanked Mr. Hufford for his positive comments about the Latin Jazz and Art Festival and also <br />expressed appreciation to staff for hard work on preparations for the event including the art <br />exhibits at the Art and Sculpture Houses and City Hall. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />City Clerk Donna Gardner shared the following information: <br />• Basic information regarding Hurricane Ian is on the City's website and social media sites <br />currently. These sites will be updated with new information as it is received. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Chad Albritton - Seat No. 4: <br />• Commended staff for working to make the Latin Jazz and Art Festival such a great event this <br />past weekend. <br />• Thanked staff for their storm preparations for Hurricane Ian. <br />
